Making Choices Youth Conference set for March 4, 2020

Darryl W Thomas Jr for this year's Making Choices Youth Conference hosted by Youth Connection Waco in Waco, Texas

Youth Connection Waco, in partnership with Baylor University and Education Service Center Region 12, is pleased to announce this year’s Making Choices Youth Conference is March 4, 2020!

Our special guest for this year’s event is Darryl W. Thomas, Jr.

As a young underdog, Darryl grew up in a broken home where he experienced the effects of divorce, poverty, domestic violence, drug abuse and fatherlessness. He was faced with the insurmountable odds of his father’s untimely death, his mother’s drug addiction and deeply impoverished communities. Such odds were enough to make anyone quit. Despite the temptation to quit, Darryl discovered a reason to fight back and adopted a resilient mindset. Be prepared to be inspired, to have your excuses challenged and your perspective transformed as Darryl engages the youth as if they are his own.
