Details Announced for the Making Choices Youth Conference – April 13, 2019

Youth Connection, Inc. will host Making Choices – Youth Conference on Saturday, April 13, 2019. This event is sponsored by Waco ISD

Place: University High School Gymnasium 3201 S New Rd, Waco, TX 76706

All Waco and McLennan County schools are invited and encouraged to bring students (5th through 12th grade) to hear speaker Craig J. Boykin. The cost is $5.00 per student for the first 100 students. After 100 students, the cost is $2.50 per student. (Price includes lunch)

Moving Forward: Effective Ways to Impact Others Conference set for April 7, 2017!

Youth Connection will host its 21st annual Central Texas Regional Conference, “Moving Forward: Effective Ways to Impact Others” from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 7, 2017, at McLennan Community College Conference Center with registration starting at 8:00 a.m.

By very popular request we are bringing Kevin Tutt and Michael Daggs back to Waco! This is an awesome opportunity to hear these two powerful speakers! (http://www.tuttdaggs.com)

The emphasis for this year’s conference will focus on motivation. Anyone attending will benefit from their powerful messages!  The keynote presentation will cover “The Power of Positive & Lifting Others Up.”  Breakout sessions will cover titles such as: “A Change in Perspective – Looking at Situations Differently,” “The Art of Communications and Handling Difficult Situation,” and “Working Within Your Strengths.”

Tyler M. Smith is a Sr. Lecturer & Division Leader at Baylor University will present “The Implications That Culture Has on Family.”

Emilie Cunningham is an instructor of Maternal and Infant Health at Baylor University and the Family Life Coordinator at Providence Health Center in Waco, Texas, where she serves as a community and staff educator. She will serve as presenter for a breakout session entitled, “Optimizing the Transition to Mother hood and the First Year.”

Registration is $75 and includes lunch (breakfast is not provided) and program materials. A special $20 student fee is available with current Student I.D. CE Credits will be available for an additional charge of $10. The conference is approved for social workers, licensed professional counselors, psychologists and any other group that will accept the conference as CE for that individual. All persons who attend the entire workshop and complete the evaluation form will be awarded 7 Continuing Education contact hours for social workers, psychologists and other approved individuals.
